The Monterey Bi-Folding Glass Wall creates striking transformative spaces in a wide range of commercial and residential applications. The system features top-hung framed glass panels that fold and slide with minimal effort. The panels stack neatly to the side when opened, which maximizes floorspace and produces hybrid environments that offer expansive views, airflow, daylighting, and contemporary aesthetics.
A key benefit of Monterey is its high degree of customization. More than 50 panel and folding configurations are possible. The system can be installed in windows and large doorways or used as a striking glass wall. Panels can stack in the interior or exterior for greater versatility.
The Monterey S55 Series accommodates 1/4”, 3/8”, and 1/2” monolithic tempered glass, or 1” insulating glass. The system comes standard with interior two-point lever latches. Three-point keyed locks can be added for improved security. Flush mount sills are supplied for interior applications while raised sills are supplied for exterior applications. The system features compensating channels and adjustable spacers to ensure a plumb and level installation.
The Monterey S80 Series offers the same features and benefits as the S55 Series but is also thermally broken to help meet stringent energy codes in commercial applications. It accommodates 1” and 1-1/4” insulating glass.
The available Monterey S80CW Series is engineered to comply with AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-17 (North American Fenestration Standard). The system meets the minimum CW design pressure of 30 psf and maximum allowable deflection of L/175. The Monterey S80CW Series excels in demanding environments where long-term high performance and durability are desired. It’s ideal for low-rise and mid-rise buildings where larger sizes, higher loading requirements, limits on deflection, and heavy use are expected.
