“Without craftsmanship, inspiration is a mere reed shaken in the wind.” – Johannes Brahms

The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame’s main entrance, designed by the award-winning Trahan Architects, responded to existing street facades with a simplistic, monochromatic look and all-glass Blumcraft entrances.

To Blumcraft’s founder, a young Latvian-born artisan, craftsmanship was everything. Hyman Blum had a passion for hand-forged decorative wrought iron railings – and soon became recognized in the American architectural community for his work with metals.

In the Roaring Twenties, eclectic, art-deco architectural styles emerged with new construction like Chicago’s renowned Merchandise Mart. During this time, Blum and his family were inspired to rethink what aluminum metals could be, experimenting with aesthetics and adjustability and revolutionizing the installation of railing systems.

The artisan inspired Blumcraft legacy lives on today, authentically through CRL. As the architects’ number one choice in access control handles, glass entrances, balanced doors, glass railings, gate systems, smoke baffles and large item display cases. Blumcraft is defined by uncompromising craftsmanship. Made in Los Angeles, that long-standing commitment is evident in the hand-crafted manufacturing process. From beginning to end, the Blumcraft brand is unmatched in quality, design and safety. With a craftsman’s attention to detail and broad product portfolio, Blumcraft delivers exceptional style and performance.
