CRL Kwixset® Expanding Cement is a gray, hydraulic type cements that expand as they set, and are specially formulated to produce exceptional strength and bonding qualities. When mixed with water they pour into place smoothly. Both set within 15 to 20 minutes, and when fully cured develop compression strengths in excess of 8000 pounds per square inch.
Kwixset® is not affected by standing water, making it the right cement for exterior use Kwixset® also has many interior applications. Use Kwixset® either to set railings, brackets, and other fixtures because it will not shrink, crack or dry out.
COMPRESSION STRENGTHS: 1 Hour: 4,600 psi
24 Hours: 5,000 psi
7 Days: 8,000 psi
VOLUME CALCULATIONS: 1 lb. Kwixset® Cement yields 18.75 cubic inches.
92 lb. Kwixset® Cement yields one cubic foot.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: For pouring with a fluid consistency use 4-1/2 oz. of water per pound of cement or 1-1/2 pints for 5 lb. of cement.
NOTE: • Kwixset® can be used in temperatures as low as 40 degrees F (4 degrees C).
• Water and cement must be measured accurately.
• When using KWIXSET with aluminum, the aluminum should be anodized or painted in some way. KWIXSET can react with raw aluminum, especially outdoors.
