This CRL Prismatic Glass Drill is the standard of quality for glass drilling throughout the flat glass industry. The tungsten carbide tips mean you can produce hundreds of high quality holes without needing to re-sharpen the drill. The extra long tip assures long lasting, precision drilling.

Prismatic Drills should only be used in glass drilling machines such as the CRL2, SDM4, and 41, or in a securely held electric drill. We do not recommend you use them with hand brace drills. Be sure to keep the drill cool using a coolant, such as CRL DTC80 during drilling.

NOTE: Always wear the proper safety gear, including gloves and eye protection, when drilling glass. Work should be performed on a flat, horizontal surface. A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, such as CRL Cat. No. GF1, must be used when using any type of electric tool in conjunction with water or coolant. Failure to follow any of these precautions can result in operator injury.

Product Warning:

These drills should be run at 400-600 RPM to achieve maximum drilling performance. The tip of the CRL Prismatic Drill is not ground to a sharp point. There is a slight angle at the tip to allow the drill to first scratch the glass and begin the drilling of the hole.
