THE SUPPLIED STRIKE PLATE MUST BE INSTALLED TO ACTIVATE THE LOCK SOLENOID. THIS LOCK WILL NOT THROW THE LATCH BOLT UNLESS IT SENSES THAT THE DOOR IS N THE CLOSED POSITION
