Commercial Glass & Plastics (Lynchburg, VA) was tasked with installing a bullet-resistant barrier system for a natural gas company's payment center. The system needed to meet the project's bullet protection level requirements and be incorporated into the completed wood cabinetry containing ballistic-resistant fiberglass panels. The challenge was compounded by the fact that the carpenter had installed top caps to the counter and finished the natural mahogany without accounting for the necessary allowances for the ballistic acrylic system. CRL's Transaction Hardware Technical Sales staff worked directly with the glazing contractor to tailor a custom solution that would integrate seamlessly with the existing top caps' projection.
